Description

A work in mixed media, Cinderella features a young girl of 25 in a moment of joy. Though joy may seem a common moment, this one is not. She has survived numerous abuses, sexual and emotional in nature, from those she most trusted. Her path lead her down the road of alcoholism. In that darkness, joy was nowhere to be found. In her recovery, she works through those traumas and her own alcoholism. Her joy is is earned, scarce, revered. A dessert flower. So rare in fact, that it deserved to be captured as an Unsung Heroine.
