Description

A group of recovering alcoholic women sit in a meeting on a Tuesday night. The laughter and kinship that join them may be common place for many, but not for them. Their sisterhood is hard-won and precious for each of them know that alcoholic isolation intimately. I learned to embrace my femininity and to accept that sisterhood here. For this, I will always be grateful. This painting aims to capture the energy of kinship, love and warmth.
